2001-12-23 - 1:03 p.m. LEXINGTON HERALD LEADER RECOMMENDS STUCKISM (23 Dec 2001) In the light of Christmas museum closures in Kentucky, the Herald Leader recommends a few web sites, first of which is www.stuckism.com It comments: "But that doesn't mean they are all out in the English countryside painting nouveau-impressionist landscapes. No, they're not looking backward; they're looking toward what they call ``remodernism.'' To that end, they've become activists. They go to prestigious events and make a lot of noise protesting. They've succeeded in drawing the ire of London's Tate Museum director, as well as public rebukes from heads of various cultural institutions, foundation directors, politicians, prominent collectors and others who wish to maintain the status quo. "...This site is a blast, especially if you're into iconoclastic goings-on in the art world."
