POSTMODERNISM AND CLASSICAL MUSIC
At last-- a clear, honest vision of what Art should be!
All Arts are afflicted with Post-modernism.In music, the likes of Boulez and Stockhausen have assumed such roles, ( Boulez has said that neither Britten nor Tippett are composers!). In Britain we have the likes of Sir Harrison Birtwhistle, whose "Panic", premiered at the BBC Proms a few years ago is the musical equivalent of Tracey Emins "My Bed".....if ever there was a case of the Emperors Clothes! Thank God some one had the courage and artistic integrity to expose the emperor in all his embarrassing nakedness....now theres an idea for a painting(!)
